History

The South Gippsland Dairy & Farming Expo (Dairy Expo) started in the millennium with the committee having a core objective to deliver a 'one-stop shop' to local dairy farmers. So, if farmers were busy, they could visit the Dairy Expo, conduct their business quickly, and leave having spent a valuable couple of hours. Today, the event still has a dairy focus and the same core objectives: delivering a relevant and well-run event to the dairy industry.

The Dairy Expo provides an opportunity for members of the dairying fraternity to showcase the latest in dairy innovation and technology in an environment where everything is about agriculture, specifically the dairy industry.

South Gippsland is lucky to be the home of some exceptional dairy farming enterprises that form a significant part of our rural community. The Dairy Expo would not be a 22-year success story without its community and volunteers' tremendous support and help.

The Lions Club of Strzelecki has distributed over $600K back into community programs through their activities. All proceeds made from this 2022 will go back into the community to help make a difference.

Planning for 2022
The Lions Club of Strzelecki has been hosting the South Gippsland Dairy & Farming Expo for 21-years. The year 2022 is about a return to the new normal. The Dairy Expo will host a COVID-Safe event that empowers all like-minded dairy people to reunite and celebrate why we are passionate about the Australian dairy industry.

Our year started with unbelievable support from 23 sponsors. In addition, we will see the return of our Udder Truth Showbag Competition and our Gumboot Gift foot race. We will hear from Matt Harms, who will not fail to entertain us with his panellist and unusual presentation style. We will also hear from St Kilda legend Nathan Burke, who will chat to us about achieving our goals and relying on others to help us deliver.

The event will be promoted extensively through national and regional news platforms via social media-based applications. So let's unite and stand proud to deliver a professional event that showcases the best products and services in the dairy industry to Gippsland.

Mark it in your diary now, and join us on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th September 2022 in Korumburra.
